This week I've been in Ft. Worth, Dallas, and then in Longview. You know, that 'Piney' Little City out in East Texas? What a welcome! They say they do things bigger in Texas, and I can confirm; they welcomed me in a BIG WAY!!
I had a chance to speak to a large Youth Group on Sunday in Ft. Worth, but most of my time was spent with smaller family groups. In the comfort of living rooms across the Great State of Texas, I started sharing the message of ALONE.
I'm still trying to process all the stories I had the honor of hearing, but it dawned on me again; WE ARE ALL DEALING WITH THIS PANDEMIC. There are so many people who are living in the pressure of looking good for all to see, but are hurting deep down inside.
I talked with a family who lost a child.
I spent time with another family enduring a long divorce.
I talked with a student making bad choices, and doesn't know where to go.
And that's just the tip of the ice berg.
So many people are trying to figure out how to live in a world where they can be connected with one another, and I believe we can.
To my Texas Friends, I must say THANK YOU!! Thank you for sharing your stories, honoring me with the privilege of carrying the deep feelings your working through. Thank you for helping me see how pertinent this message is, not just for teenagers, but for families, singles, young people, and old.
God is working to free so many people from the pain they live in.
I was encouraged this morning to blog once again about the book ALONE, here. My friend said, "Braner, the world needs this, and you need to continue shouting from the mountaintop."
So here it is.
We were meant to Love God and Love Others as best we know how. If you feel ALONE today, or trapped in a life you didn't bargain for, check out ALONE. You can download it from Amazon, or purchase a hard copy to give to your friends for Christmas.
As one Dallas friend said,"This book is my stocking stuffer for ALL my friends."
Thank you for your kind support.
