"How do you do it?" a mom asked me last night. "When we see you guys up there dancing with kids on stage, the joy of the Lord is evident"
Here at Camp KIVU, the whole staff contributes to the spirit of welcome, encouragement, and living life together. It's not rocket science. We've just taken a position in the world where we love living life WITH teenagers, college students, and a host of people from around the world.
Last night was a true testament to what can happen when a whole group of people come together for a common goal. I'm excited, humbled, and full of joy watching God's people work together for something long lasting.
We've dispelled racial myths.
We've talked through different views of following Jesus.
We've laughed...A LOT!
We biked, hiked, and rafted the river, thousands of times.
All in all, Summer 2012 is going down as a time when "A new command I give you, LOVE ONE ANOTHER" came to fruition.
Thanks for all those who've supported our mission through the blog, the facebook pages, and most of all come to experience what's going on out here in Durango Colorado.
